The characteristics of a wart depend on the type, but can include:
- A small, raised bump on the skin ranging from 1 to 10 mm
- A rough or smooth surface
- Appear singly or in clusters
- Itchiness
There are many different reasons for warts to develop along with many different treatment options. Treatment may include topical application of medication through to freezing the wart off. Treatment can take some time. It is important to ensure that a diagnosis is made by your podiatrist prior to starting treatment.
