Biomechanical and gait assessment

Gait is the way in which we walk.

Biomechanics is the study of the joints and structures during motion which determines the way our body moves and functions.

At Footlab+ we have a fully computerised gait assessment system enabling our podiatrists to perform a thorough biomechanical assessment. We are highly qualified at studying the biomechanics of the lower limb to determine the relationship between the way we walk and painful conditions.

Our podiatrists are able to study the way you walk in fine detail ensuring the most accurate form of assessment. Computerisation of the system enables measurements to be taken to determine the exact cause of pain and amounts of correction that may be required. This combined with our podiatrists training, skill and experience ensures that your feet are accurately assessed enabling correct treatment.

Computerised gait assessment is used in the creation of orthotics.
